Donald M. Nelson's Obituary
Donald M. Nelson Beloved child of God, passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 1, 2009. Don was born July 31, 1914 to Ollie and Dianitha Nelson in Burley, ID. As a teenager during the depression he worked on a gold dredge in Warren, ID and went on to being a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was retired out of the power house in SAGE at McChord as shift foreman. Don is survived by his wife Myrna of Puyallup, daughter Carma Lea Prater (David), grandson Donald, son Dean, stepson Randle Matson (Nancy), grandchildren Brian and Katie, stepson Royce Matson (Vela) grandson Christian. Don was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years Louise. Don was an avid baseball fan. He had a wonderful sense of humor, even laughing at himself. Not letting his disabilities hinder him. We loved him and will miss him so much. Memorial donations can be made to Edgewood Bible Church's parking lot fund. Memorial Service, Fri. March 6th at 11am at Valley Bible Church, 14024 Stewart Road East, Sumner, WA
