Donald L. Zajac's Obituary
Don Zajac- "Mr.Z"
Donald Lawrence Zajac, born November 21, 1954, son of Carol D. Zajac, was taken suddenly by our Lord on July 31, 2008 while vacationing in his RV in Long Beach, WA. He is survived by his dearly-loved daughter Meggan and longtime friend Carol. Don lived most of his life in the Tacoma area, graduating from Stadium High School in 1973, where he excelled in math and physics. He was a baker who worked for Safeway and Costco throughout his more than thirty-year career. Dear Ol' Dad really enjoyed woodworking, camping, collecting and selling antiques and collectables, fixing things, listening to his 'tunes', and traveling in his RV. He also took great pleasure in traveling - visiting Egypt and Europe with his daughter. Don spent the last two years traveling through America in his RV, which had been a longtime dream of his. He was a devoted father who was named Washington State University's 'Dad of the Year' in 2002 when his daughter was a student there. My Dad will be greatly missed by us all. He sustained us with his quiet strength, unique sense of humor, his wisdom, and his willingness to help any friend with a project. I hope all who knew him will love and remember him as an inspiration. A service will be held for him on Friday, August 8, 2008, 11AM, at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Celebration of Life Center.
