Donald Keith Saxon
Don was born in North Dakota on Nov. 13th, 1928. He, with his parents Irene and Lloyd and sister Delores, moved to Tacoma in 1942. Don graduated from Stadium High School in 1948. He had his own business on 6th Ave. in Tacoma. He worked for Sears as a manager of the automotive dept., and later, worked for the State of Washington at the Purdy Treatment Center, from where he retired. He passed away peacefully on Aug. 10th, 2011. He was always building things, including a log home overlooking the Puget Sound. He was proud of his home and enjoyed entertaining there. He will always be remembered for his comedic stories and jokes. Don is survived by 2 sons, Don Jr. (Pam) of Las Vegas and Steve (Debbie) of Gig Harbor, and 2 granddaughters, Cara and Elise. He has a sister, Delores Dixon of Tacoma, 1 niece, and 3 nephews. Donald's remains will be interred at Mountain View Memorial Park with no public service.
