Donald I. Suzuki's Obituary
DONALD ISAO SUZUKIAfter a full life of 92 years, Donald I. Suzuki, born in Keahua, Maui, Hawaii on December 12, 1914, passed away on December 26, 2006. A long-time resident of DuPont, Washington, Don joined the US Army in 1944; serving in the Pacific Theater as a member of the Military Intelligence Service, a unique group whose core were Japanese-Americans. His service in the US Army continued for over 26 years in military intelligence, retiring in 1971 as a Master Sergeant and a veteran of three wars. Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Terrie, and his legacy continues through his three children, Katherine, Janet, and Bill, and seven grandchildren, Cap, Kristen, Patrick, Luke, Julia, Anne, and James.Military honors will be held Friday, December 29, 2006 at 10:45 AM at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
