Donald Dean Elliott's Obituary
Donald Dean Elliott, surrounded by friends and family, was called away at sunrise on
March 22, 2026 while at home in Bonney Lake, Washington.
Don was born to Owen and Roberta Elliott on March 29, 1932, in Moro, Oregon. He grew up in Dash Point, Washington attending Stadium High School, and after service in the Air Force, he graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1958.
After returning from Korea, Don married June Elliott on May 12th 1956.
Don loved hiking and the outdoors and was an avid golfer that had a bit of luck by experiencing the dream of a Hole-in-one at age 90!
After retirement, the RV and travel bug struck. Arizona was first, then they circled the US. Next on the agenda, they drove to the maritime province of Nova Scotia, caravaning with fellow RV friends and having way too much fun.
After some time, the cruise ships beckoned. Off to Alaska, the Eastern seaboard, Europe, and the Panama Canal, More FUN!
Don is survived by his sister Jeane Waite, and his children are Richard Elliott, Colleen Hallenbeck, and Christopher Elliott. His grandchildren are Jeffery, Melissa, Corey, Kassandra, and Kaylee. Great grandchildren, Tate, and Casey. Loving partner Thelma Smith. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years June Pauline Elliott and brother, Max Elliott.
Don will always be remembered for his helping nature, dry wit, and fun-loving sarcastic humor, and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
