Donald Dilger's Obituary
Donald Edward Dilger, age 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 22nd with his loving wife, Shirley at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Lillian and Don Dilger. Don enjoyed his many years in the barber business. He had a busy barber ship in Tacoma, where he was known for his special styling abilities, and quick wit. He made it a mission in his life to make others laugh through his pranks and jokes. He shared many stories with his customers and debating current events. Don and Shirley married in 1957, and enjoyed traveling and spending time in Arizona. He was a devoted husband, and had a special place in his heart for animals. He spent time in the military during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Tacoma Italian Lodge, Sons of Italy. Don is survived by his wife Shirley, his brothers Robert (Donna) and Richard (Melva) and sister, Barbara Anderson. Don leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, January 29 at 12pm at the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center. A catered lunch will be provided. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to your favorite animal rescue shelter.
