Dona Jeanne Mazzuca's Obituary
Dona Mazzuca, devoted wife and mother, passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born to Arthur and Isabelle (Groves) Anderson in Tacoma WA on August 26, 1931. Dona was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Anthony (Tony) G. Mazzuca.
Dona graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma, married her husband, Tony, and devoted herself to family as a homemaker and mother, raising 8 children. Dona was a woman of strong faith. She enjoyed reading novels and she was a skilled seamstress, creating beautiful clothing for her daughters that included several of their bridal and wedding party dresses. Dona also volunteered at a Crisis Pregnancy Center (now CareNet of Puget Sound).
Dona will be missed by her family of eight children: Christine Mullin of Kirkland, Janet Winsley (Al) of Prescott, AZ, Charlotte Hilber (John) of Ontario Canada, Carolyn Chang (Brandan) of Sammamish, and Pam Adan (Paul), Allison Cockrill (Jim), Tom Mazzuca, and Dan Mazzuca of Tacoma; sisters-in-law Betty Benson, Palmira Mazzuca and Emma Anderson of Tacoma; and eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren in the U.S.A. and Canada. The family would like to thank Nadia and staff at the Bethany Adult Family Home for their excellent care of Dona in her last years.
