Don Ralph Prengel
March 4, 1934 - Dec 4, 2014
Don Ralph Prengel was a loving and devoted dad, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was born on March 4, 1934 in Tacoma, WA. He joined his wife, June, in Heaven when taken by cancer on Dec 4, 2014. The family takes comfort in the fact they are together now, forever.
Don was the youngest of five children born to Winifred and Theodore Prengel, known as Nana and Papa. Millie Monteith, the eldest, followed by Jack Prengel, Betty Jean Johnson and twin sister, Teddy Myers. Don was the only child born in a hospital.
Don attended Lincoln High School until the 11th grade, then entered the Navy for four years. He worked many professions: Salesman, semi-dump truck driver and in real estate. He was the proudest when working for Tucci & Sons, Crescent Reality and Viking Brokers.
His family and friends will remember Don most for his love of boats and hydros, golfing, camping trips, water skiing, swimming, diving, sense of humor and his love of children and cats.
Don is survived by sister, Teddy Myers, Tim Johnson ( brother-in-law), Alice Prengel (sister-in-law). Children: Judy Perry, Dave & Vickie Ewing, Dick & Linda Miller.
Grandkids: Michelle & Scott Perry, Seth, Tim and Lucas Ewing
Great Grandkids: Jerome, Kenda, Perry, Renee, Wenona, Briana, Maddi, Mikaela, Tommy, Ryeanne, Drew, Rebecca, Alex, Hannah, Jessica, Erin, Malachi; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A public funeral service will be held at Mt View Aspen Chapel on Friday 01/09/15 at 2:00 pm; reception to follow in the Oak Room.
