DIANE M. TAYLOR
12/3/1929 - 1/17/2017
Born Marilyn Diane Israel on December 3, 1929 at Virginia Mason in Seattle, WA. Diane later changed her name to Diane Kestler for the family who had raised her. Diane attended Franklin Elementary, Jason Lee Junior High and Stadium High School in Tacoma, WA. She spent most of her life in Tacoma but also lived in Seattle, Spokane, Hawaii and Mexico. Diane's home the last 20 years was in Allyn, WA.
Diane was fiercely independent, she loved traveling, biking, skiing and taking her daily walks. She traveled to Austria on a ski trip, she biked across Ireland, she made many trips to Sun Valley, Idaho. In her early retirement years she lived in Mexico and traveled across the Southwest in an RV by herself.
Diane is survived by her 3 children - Leslie (Bruce) Allen, Scott Brady and Kimberly Taylor. She also is survived by 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Diane's Granddaughters Deena (partner Julie) Griffin, Tricia (husband Derek) Mulvey, Kelly (husband Shawn) Kelstrup were her advocates the last few years.
The family plans to scatter her ashes at a later date at Pacific Beach, WA where she loved to take camping trips.
