Diane Eldora Munson's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Diane Eldora Munson on her 81st birthday, in Puyallup, Washington. Diane was born in Chelan, Washington, to Chester and Mildred Dodson. She graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1962 before going on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Washington State College.
In 1972, Diane married Ross Munson (deceased in 2009), and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, family & dogs. She is survived by her sister’s, Elaine Virnig & Darlene Fleener, her stepchildren Marty, Terri, Scott, and Ron, her six grandchildren, Grace, Natalie, Bailey, Kasey, Cameron, and Kelly Jo. She had one Great Grandchild, Wyatt. She was also a proud aunt to her nieces, Hannah and Lyndenn.
A dedicated professional, Diane was the office manager for Munson Real Estate before transitioning to a fulfilling career as an administrative assistant at MultiCare.
Diane’s greatest passion in life was her love of dogs, particularly her Australian Shepherds. In the mid-1980s, she welcomed Cesar and Gala into the family, and from there, she went on to develop and manage the renowned "Supreme Australian Shepherds" kennel, which produced many Hall of Fame sires and dams. Diane was deeply involved in the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) and championed the versatility of the breed, producing multiple agility, conformation, obedience, and herding champions. Her love for her dogs reflected her nurturing and dedicated spirit.
Diane will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She had an extraordinary ability to see the good in others and was always appreciative of those who helped her along the way. Diane’s legacy is one of compassion, integrity, and selflessness.
Diane, your love and light will continue to guide us. You will be greatly missed.
