Mrs. Diane K. (Wallen) Thomas was born on December 6, 1973 in Geneva, IL to the union of Gary and Augie Wallen, and departed on July 22, 2005.In 1991 she graduated from Westfield High School in Houston, Texas. She was a vibrant and feisty young woman. She had many talents that included welding, creative arts, graphics designs and schooling for anesthesiology.On January 6, 2001 David and Diane were united in holy matrimony in Dallas, Texas and together they shared a life of joy and happiness.In 2001, together with her military husband, they moved to Fort Lewis, WA, where she established Charlie Company 29th Signal Battalion FRG (Family Readiness Group). She received several awards for her work, including the very rare US Army Spouse Coin. She also rescued Great Danes and any other animal that was lost.Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, David Thomas; parents, Gary and Augie Wallen; brother, Edward Wallen, her mother-in-law, Pat Smith both of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, relatives and loved ones.Diane will be greatly missedÂ..... But never forgotten.
