Diane R. Guglomo's Obituary
Diane Ruth Guglomo
Our beautiful Diane passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, June 2, 2013. Diane was born June 14, 1938 in Longview, WA to Jo and Leroy Studebaker. Her joyful spirit, kindness, and compassion won the trust and hearts of all who knew Diane, and her signature gift of nurturing love will never be forgotten.
She graduated from Kelso High School and also in Kelso met and married her soul-mate Tom Guglomo. Married nearly 45 years, they raised their dear Scott, Robin, and Ryan in Kelso and Lakewood. She shaped their spirituality by her tireless Christian example. She had an infectious zest for life, loving to play golf and bridge, and spend time with her precious Teddy. After retirement from banking her passion for collecting rare, antique dolls became a source of true joy, as was the wonderful community of dear friends who shared her doll-loving spirit.
Diane is survived by her husband Tom, sons Scott Randall and Ryan Guglomo, all of University Place, WA, and her brother George Reed (Donna), Longview, WA. She was predeceased by her daughter Robin Randall Spitzer, her brother David Studebaker, and her nephew Scott Studebaker.
A memorial service and reception will be held Saturday, June 9, 2013, 1:30 p.m., at Little Church on the Prairie, Lakewood, WA. The family wishes to deeply thank the staff at Franciscan Hospice Care Center in University Place, and in lieu of flowers would appreciate any donations made to them in Diane's name.
