DeVonne Carroll Bronson's Obituary
Born July 19, 1929; Graceville, MN and passed away in Tacoma December 20, 2022.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Charles Norman Bronson and her son Charles Lynn Bronson. Survived by her 3 daughters, Norma, Geraldine, and Tamra, 7 grandchild, 12 great grandchild and 2 great great grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
DeVonne and Norm married on July 27, 1947, and soon started a family; blessed with 3 daughters and 1 son. They moved from Minnesota in 1951 to Tacoma, WA.
DeVonne worked several jobs; Harmons Furniture in the office for several years, secretary at Farmers Insurance and retired from her true passion Larchmont Elementary, as a teacher’s aide for special needs children.
Camping, going to Westport for clam digging were just a few favorites she loved to do. Her and Norm loved camping so much, they purchased a piece of property at Timberlake, just outside of Shelton. The family, (even several generations) spent years camping, fishing, swimming at this beloved location.
Another passion was to can fruit, cucumbers, and beets. Canning pickles of all kinds was her favorite. She passed on her pickle recipe to her granddaughter baby Tami. DeVonne lived at Majestic Mobile Manor since 1987 where you would see her working in her flower beds and sitting at her outside table enjoying a cup of coffee or a bud light and always ready for company.
