Devin Mason's Obituary
Devin Michael Mason, age 56, of Tacoma, died April 9th, 2011 doing something he had always dreamed of doing, driving his own hydroplane. He was born in Seattle on October 8, 1954 and always called the Pacific Northwest home. He was a Longshoreman since he was 18 and was proud to be a member of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Local 23, in Tacoma. Devin was a family man and loved to pheasant hunt, water and snow ski, golf, and boat with them on Puget Sound by the family cabin on Herron Island. He loved to entertain people with his humorous and detailed stories. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, his high school sweetheart, Diane; his children Brendan, Briana, and Meghan; his mother Delores Hodgkin; brothers Scott Mason, Kelly Hodgkin, and David Swanson; sisters Lori Lynn Mason and Michele Buergel; many nephews and nieces, and the world's greatest pointing black Labrador, Chubs. A celebration of Devin's life will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott Tacoma Downtown, 1515 Commerce Street, Tacoma, WA 98402. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
