Tia, Jade, Alex and Zach, My heart breaks for you and I am so sad that little Destiny had to leave us. I can only say that I am sure that she is resting in the arms of Grandma Gerry and that she is being watching over by our Heavenly Father. It seems so senseless. I was watching a movie the other day and a father was talking to his brokenhearted daughter who was asking why God let bad things happen. His answer was, "When you were a little girl I would never let anything bad happen to you. But sometimes, even when I was holding your hand, you would trip and fall and scrap your knees. I did not "let" that happen, but I was always there to pick you up and confort you." This conversation between them touched my heart and I realized that in the same way God did not let this happen to Destiny. It just happened. and he is there to pick you up and comfort you in this terrible time.
I love you all.

Dear Tia and Jade: I love you both so much and my heart breaks for you. I talk to Destiny every day and tell her Grandma will see her one day. She is such a beautiful little girl and I am so glad I got to hold her and that Auntie Mel got to take pictures. I know she is watching over you and will help you with the days ahead. Even in this time of heartache, I realize how lucky I am to have you and Jade in my life. I could never has asked for a more loving daughter or a more considerate and loving son-in-law. I am so proud of you both and I would do anything if I could take away your pain but all I can do is remind you that I am here, day or night, if either of you need me. God bless and keep you always.....Love Mom##imported-begin##Shannon Matthiesen##imported-end##
