Dennis Meno Urdaneta's Obituary
SFC Dennis Meno Urdaneta, loving known as "Sgt U" or "Den" was born February 19, 1979 and answered our Lord's call On Tuesday, May 28,2019 at the age of 40. As he walked through the gates o Paradise, Dennis was welcomed by his paternal grandparents Sensenando and Trinidad Urdaneta; his maternal grandparents Jose Taimanglo and Elena Crisostomo Meno;his sister, Shirley Ann Meno; his brothers, Michael Meno and Jesse Meno Urdaneta; his father-in-law, Jose Cepeda Lean Guerrero; his brother-in-law Walter David Deleon Guerrero; his nephews, Michael Jr. Meno and Josef Joachin Deleon Guerrero; and hs godparents Jose and Josephine Naputi Mantanona.
Dennis truly was a man of compassion and great honor. His genuine and bubbly personality, his warm and friendly smile, his humility, his kindness, strong family ties, and unending support embraced with much love will forever live in the hearts of his wife Guadalupe (Lupe) DLG-Urdaneta, together with their sons, Ayden Josiah and Asher Jayce; his parents, Gaudencio and Rosa Meno Urdaneta; His siblings and their families- Ronald Jodie (Ronnie) and Joann (Connie) Meno; Roden Meno; Jimmy Meno Urdaneta and Donna Mafnas; Gaudencio Jr. and Tara Urdaneta; Rosanna Meno Urdaneta and Jesse Pangelinan; Rebecca Meno Urdaneta and Pete Jr. San Nicholas; Remy Meno; and His family in Chencha, Guam.
He will be greatly missed by his mother-in-law, Alicia DLG-Leon Guerrero; and his sister-in-law's families- Joellene Collette LG and Albert Abadam; Roslyn Monique Lean Guerrero; Alana May Leon Guerrero and Joaquin tudela Jr; his godparents John and Bobbie Reyes; his Family in Bodig and Tindin, Saipan; numerous, aunts,uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, godchildren, and many special and close friends.
Dennis served 19 years in the United States Army. His leadership,mentorship,commitment and integrity will forever be remembered by his Army unit, battalion, and Soldiers. His dedication and devotion to the United States Army was well recognized and will be missed.
On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, Dennis's unit will hold a memorial service at North Fort Chapel on JBLM at 3:00pm. On Thursday, June 6, there will be a viewing and over night wake service for Dennis at their home in Lacey, WA.
Dennis' wish was to be laid to rest in the beautiful State of Washington. Visitation and last respects may be paid On Friday, June 7,2019 at Our Lady Queen of heaven in Spanaway, WA beginning at 10:30am. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:30pm. Following immediately the Rite of Committal at the Ft. Lewis Memorial Cemetery on Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).
