Dennis Lathrop's Obituary
Dennis W. Lathrop, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend lost his battle with pancreatic cancer early Sunday morning. Dennis began his career in the restaurant business at the age of 15. He continued his love of cooking by attending and graduating from the New York Restaurant School, where he achieved a place on the DeanÂ's Honor Roll. At the culmination of DennisÂ' career he held the position of Chef dÂ' Partie at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City and also served as a personal chef in Arad, Israel.Dennis is survived by his daughter Angela Roberts and son-in-law James; two grandchildren, Mikayla (3) and Hannah (1); his mother Margy Lathrop; sisters Sandy Hoff and Antoinette Hall; brother Richard and many nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by sister Patricia Noel and brother Michael. No services will be held at DennisÂ' request.
