Dennis Sean Gormley's Obituary
Dennis Sean Gormley was born on June 27th, 1957 in Auburn, Washington to Charles and Helen Gormley. He passed peacefully on November 7th, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. Dennis spent his entire life in Tacoma, Washington and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1975. He worked for over 50 years in the drywall business.
Dennis married the love of his life, Teresa Johnson, in 1980. They brought two children into their family, Ryan and Dylan, who they loved and cherished. Sadly, she passed away in 2007.
Dennis was caring, charismatic, and cranky all at once. He had a deep love for his family, dogs, music, and motorcycles. He will be remembered for having his Marshall Amp at 10 and two-stroke smoke in his veins! He never met a person that wasn’t his friend and was the life of any party. Dennis was always the one you called when you needed to “know a guy” as he has countless industry brothers who were always willing to lend a hand.
Dennis is survived by his sister Genevieve Sundet (Leal), daughter Ryan Smith (Paul) and son Dylan. He leaves behind 3 grandchildren Evee, Liam and Levi, who he loved to tease. He also had countless nephews and nieces that he treasured. He was preceded in death by his brothers John, James, Joseph, and his sister Christine.
There will be a celebration of life on December 14th at the Amvets Tacoma Post 1. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating time or funds to help Ryan and Dylan finish home projects.
