I have fond memories of Mr. Fatland's Calculus class and his gentle teasing (along with his smirk) when I would walk in late. He pushed all of us to excel and I am grateful for that. My condolences to his family.

Dennis brings to mind fun memories of his presence at Blix family gatherings. His rich spirit, genuine (and loud) laughter, strong political opinions, and devotion to all in the family live on. Rest in peace, Dennis!
Mr. Fatland was my favorite teacher at Wilson High School. I was NOT great at math, but he made geometry so interesting, and he was so much fun, that I looked forward to that class every day! And I think I even got a B! He was a really great man, and I will never forget him. : )
I was fortunate to have been taught mathematics by Dennis at Wilson High School and also to have him as my golf coach. Played many holes of golf with him at Fircrest Golf Club where we were both members. I have fond memories of his good natured personality and was sorry to here of his passing. My condolences to his family.
