Bob Embrey
For those reading 13 years hence, we didn't hear of Dennis' passing and recently found the obituary. Dennis was my sister's boyfriend in the 70's in Spokane, WA and became a lifelong friend of mine. We shared July birthdays and he taught me how to rebuild an automobile engine and much more. He and Gary split cedar shakes in Couer d'Alene for a time, and I visited him while he was being an outlaw at Moclips in his trailer a few years later in the '80's. After we both moved to Seattle Dennis and I met and visited at the Federal Way truck stop on occasion at the insurance agency there, and he did some trucking and then started his Enviro Services business and eventually met Carol. We saw each other through times thick and thin and supported one another when we came in contact. Many happy hours were spent together and in later years we got to see his sheer happiness in meeting and marrying Carol. We managed to get in a few bunco games with them and enjoyed the laughs and good times that were always present with Dennis. He was a caring and compassionate man with a heart of gold. For any friends or family members who read this, know that he holds a very special place in my heart.
