Deloris Grunwald's Obituary
Deloris (Dee) Grunwald Deloris Mae Grunwald, born in Sterling, CO on January 11, 1936 to parents Elson and Helen Brewer, passed away on December 4th due to complications from bladder cancer. Dee moved to Tacoma at a young age and attended Lincoln High School. At the age of 16 Dee married the love of her life, Bob Grunwald. They celebrated nearly 60 years of married happiness prior to Bob's death in 2011. Dee dedicated her entire life to family, and was at her happiest when surrounded by her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Dee is survived by sisters Darlene Alfredson, Lois (Steve) Hoffman, and Nonie Gresli, children Debbie (Ed) Rogel, Mike (Peggy) Grunwald, Barb (Dan) Vaughn, and Cheri (Mike) Prichard, grandchildren Haley (BG) Gee, Kelsey (Cory) West, Kayla and Alison Rogel, Stephanie and Cory Grunwald, Kalissa (Ryan) Hovey and Eric Vaughn, Matt (Mindee), Robby (Katy), and Danny Prichard, great-grandchildren Jonathan, Audrey, Emmett, Barrett, Charlotte, Liam, twins Ava and Nora, and a great-grandson and great-granddaughter due in April. The family wishes to thank the staff at MultiCare Hospice, who enabled Dee to spend her final days at home, surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 9th, 11:30AM, in the Mountain View Garden Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd, Lakewood, WA. Those wishing to remember Dee may do so by making a donation to the Hospice service of their choice.
