Delores Forsyth's Obituary
On February 28, 2025, we lost our beautiful and amazing Delores.
She did the best she could to stay, but her heart had other plans. She was born
in Tacoma at Tacoma General to parents Howard & Marie Muir. She grew up
in South Tacoma where she attended Jennie Reed, Edison, Gray, and
eventually graduated from Lincoln in 1961.
Growing up she was a member of First Baptist Church. She was involved with
Girl Scouts, Rainbows, and Sea Scouts. At 18 she started bowling in leagues
and continued throughout her life, with many years as the secretary for the
“Unmentionables”.
In 1964 she bought a brand new Pontiac GTO that would change the course of
her life. Her future husband Ed had bought one too and was enamored with
the young lady driving the red one.
They were married in August of 1967. Children, K.C. and Kelly soon arrived
and the young family moved to Lake Tapps in 1975.
Over the next 30 years she was a fantastic mom, that cared for family (human
and furry) as well as working in credit unions and eventually for Sam's Club in
Auburn. She was a fifty year member of Colonial Dames of the XVII Century
and was involved with DAR for many years.
In retirement they moved to Spanaway remaining active with GTOs and
traveling, most notably through the Panama Canal and on a 5000 mile road
trip through the Northwestern United States, including South Dakota.
She is survived by her husband of 57 ½ years, Ed. Her kids by birth K.C.
Forsyth and Kelly Spelay and her spare kids, Rob Spelay and Roz Webber. She
was the best big sister ever and is survived by her four siblings, Buck (Dana)
Muir, Cindie (Bruce) Farman, Cori Muir, Margaret (Glenn) Huntley and Lew
Forsyth. She was the glue and will be missed by too many more to list.
A Celebration of Life with Reception will take place in the Willow Room in the Celebration of Life Center at Mountain View Funeral Home, Memorial Park, and Crematory on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 2:00 P.M.
