Delisa Hayes' Obituary
On May 9th, 2015 our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Delisa June Hayes departed this earth to live life everlasting with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Delisa was born on September 27th• 1966 in Tacoma, WA. She was the youngest of four children born to the union of her parents, Dave and Mildred Hayes. She is preceeded in death by her Father, Deacon Dave Hayes (1986), and an older brother Deacon Curtis Hayes (2014) of Dallas TX, who is survived by his dear wife Blanche, and children Curtyna and Curtland.
Delisa accepted the Lord at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of the Angel Choir and Youth Choir.
Delisa attended elementary and middle school at Tacoma Baptist and graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory High School in 1985. She attended Gonzaga University for one year before transferring to Spelman College in Atlanta GA where she earned her BA. She remained in Atlanta and worked for the Federal Government Immigration and Naturalization Office for almost 25 years.
Delisa was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and also a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star.
Delisa leaves to cherish her memory her dear mother, Deaconess Mildred Hayes, her siblings, David (Elizabeth) Stubblefield, Kent, WA, Calvin Stubblefield, Portland, OR, Michael Stubblefield, Tacoma, WA, Davida (Malcolm) Matthews, Portland, OR, Marcus (Valerie) Hayes, Dallas , TX, Doris Hayes-Clark, Tacoma, WA, David(Ruby) Hayes, Tacoma, WA, George (Rita) Hayes, Tacoma, WA, and Greg (Raquel) Hayes. Tacoma, WA. Delisa also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
