Always a lady, always a friend, always sharing Christ. Delene is the reason I am a sinner saved by grace. It was Delene that shared her faith, inviting us to church. We were young parents, broke, needing a stove. We stopped at her moving sale, found a like new stove for a broke price ! We grew to love the Bennett’s and praise God for Delene, a precious jewel in the circle of life. It’s not good-bye, we will one day caught up with you .. “When we all get to heaven”🎶

I knew Delene through Gig Harbor Christian Women's Club. Probably 20 years at least. Absolutely loved working with her, along with Patty and Margaret. They were a trio who faithfully worked in the Club and who faithfully loved to tease me and give me a bad time, all in fun! We had great times together at CWC Area Conferences. We laughed together. We loved the Lord Jesus together. Great, fond memories of a dear, dear lady. I will keep

To Dave and family, Delene was one of my best pals growing up on Oakes Street in Tacoma. Other friends were the Wayno twins, Janet Christel and Ellen Wheelock. We had great times playing hopscotch, tag, ball games etc. Her parents, Marty and Ida, were such great people and I remember her brother, Tommy. At some point, her family moved, but they kept their house as a rental. Then, several years later, Delene and Dave moved into that home. I was living at home while attending UPS and can remember babysitting at least one of their children. Many years later, my husband Doug and I briefly visited Delene and Dave in their home near Sunny Bay in Gig Harbor. We were walking the beach while visiting Doug’s parents. In 2000, we built a home on that property and are blessed to be enjoying out retirement years looking at the water and Mt Rainier. Delene sent a note of welcome when we moved here, but sadly we never did reconnect.
I am so sorry for your loss of Delene, a very special person.

Dear Dave & the entire Bennett Family ~
Delene was a very special person, so warm and caring to us and to so many others. We shared wonderful times of worshiping our Lord Jesus together with both Dave & Delene, singing in choir together at Life Center for many years. We also remember attending Dave & Delene's wedding anniversary celebration. That was such a special event.
We so wish that we could attend Delene's Memorial Service, but we will be out of town leaving on March 9th, so we greatly regret that we are not able to be there with you.
We are praying for you all, that God will surround you with the love, comfort, and presence of His Holy Spirit.

I knew delene wolf way back at Luther memorial church where we attended Sunday school together! I always thought of her as a very nice friendly young woman and also attended stadium high school at the same time. And occasionally saw her at temple baptist when I attended church meetings with Lois gothlin. Every time I ran in to her she always talked with me and I will always remember her and never forget her friendliness. My prayers are with her family. I am so sorry! Marlene ehrenheim phelps
