Debra Anne Owens' Obituary
Debra (Debbie) Anne Owens passed away May 10, 2016. Born June 10th, 1961 on Governor’s Island (Fort Jay 1st Army Headquarters) New York. Debbie was born to Frank H. and Mary Anne Owens.
During the family’s tours of duty, residence included Fort Jay, Governor’s Island, Fort Hamilton, Augsburg, Germany and Lakewood, Washington. Debbie attended school in the Clover Park School District (Lakeview Elementary, Hudtloff Junior High, and Lakes High School, graduating in 1979.)
Education being foremost in her family, Debbie graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in political science and Pacific Lutheran University where she received her degree in education. She was employed in the Clover Park school district entirely where she taught elementary at Evergreen, middle school at both Mann and Woodbrook.
Debra is survived by her Mother and Brother Darryl, both of Lakewood, Washington. She is also survived by Aunt Jean Jordan of Scarsdale, NY, cousins Lisa Jordan of Hawaii, Brett Jordan of Scarsdale, NY, Gwen Franklin of the Bronx, NY, Karen Franklin of the Bronx, NY, Malva Reece of the Bronx, NY, Aunt Julie McKinney of Ayers MA, cousins Carol and William McKinney of Connecticut, and Frances Crawford of Atlanta, Georgia.
Please join us in celebrating Debbie’s life. A private graveside service will be held. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Willow Room at the Celebration of Life Center, Mountain View Funeral Home, Lakewood, Washington.
