Dean Cromwell Pickel's Obituary
Dean Cromwell Pickel, 78, of Tacoma Washington passed away on November 9th, 2021. Born in Billings Montana on September 26, 1943.
Son to the late Oliver and Anna Marie (Raile) Pickel.
Survived by his daughter Annmarie (Troy) Stonecipher; Son, Dean Jr. (Tina) Pickel; Brother Donald Pickel; Sisters, Debbie Morrison; Darlene (Dave) Bargelt; and grandchildren Joey, Branden, Cleyton and Devyn.
Dean is predeceased by his Parents, Oliver and Anna Marie Pickel and Sister Dianna Hart.
Dean served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1963.
He met his former wife the love of his life, Susan Marie Hurley at work (Gant Shirtmakers) in 1964, they were married in 1966 and had two children.
Dean worked for Armstrong Rubber company from 1969 to 1979. He made his dream come true in 1980 by opening his own Antique store. Savin Rock Coin and Antiques on Campbell Ave, West Haven CT. where he was always wheeling and dealing and loved talking with his customers. He moved to Florida with his family in 1982 and opened another Antique store in St. Petersburg, FL.
Hobbies he loved include; flea markets, coins, antiques, collecting movies, watching scary movies, playing cards, pool and bowling. He was very talented and gifted spending hours creating computer animation and amazing pictures.
he loved Sunday football, the Seattle Seahawks was his favorite team. Dean loved to cause trouble with his jokes.
We are very sad to see him leave but grateful for the time we had with him and to know he is no longer in pain. He will be greatly missed.
At Deans request, no services will be held. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
