Davis John (Jack)'s Obituary
Davis Â"JackÂ" GrahamJack was born in Tacoma on Jan 17, 1935, and passed away peacefully at home on May 13th after an extended illness.He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and hard work.He was one of the few TNT paperboys who completed their routes during the blizzard of 1950. A poem was written by a subscriber, published in the TNT and dedicated to Jack.After graduating from Lincoln High School he began working at Pacific Northwest Bell and served 3 years in the U.S. Army Alaska Communications Service. He retired in 1988 after 32 years of service with Pacific Northwest Bell.Jack was a member of T.O.A. and an avid salmon fisherman who never caught an ugly fish, they were all beauties. He also loved digging razor clams with his family.Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Violet C. Graham. He is survived by Janice, his loving wife of 46 years; son Dirk Graham (Terrie); daughters, Sally Graham and Melanie Young (Scott); his dearly loved grandchildren, Kevin, Shaina, Jacque: and his brother, Dr. Joe Graham of Dansville, NY. He was proud of his family and they were proud of him.Our heartfelt thanks to all who cared for him: Franciscan Hospice, Dr. David E. Law and staff, and his caregivers Ray and Linda. Thank you also to those who cared for him during his hospitalizations and his stay at Manor Care Tacoma. And we thank all his family and friends for their support and prayers during his illness.
