David Allen Young's Obituary
David Allen Young Jr of Tacoma WA, passed away on January 16, 2022, in Lakewood WA. David was born in Miami Florida to Estelle D. Bouie and David Young Sr on August 20, 1971. He attended Decatur Highschool in Federal Way, WA and went on to receive his associates degree in pursuit of becoming a master tradesman. After spending years also training in culinary arts, David developed a longing for his family and relocated to Atlanta, GA, where worked as an operator for the Clayton County Police Benevolent Association. After spending several scorching summers in the South, David knew it was time to return to the cool and misty Pacific Northwest. After moving back to Seattle, David was impacted by a series of physical challenges which led to years in and out of the hospital that ultimately sidelined his ability to work. Not letting this setback affect him, he reignited his passion for writing and even up to his last days, silently worked on a masterpiece that one day would he’d dreamed of his very own published novel.
David was known to those who loved him as (Big) Dave and considered the most loveable and gentlest giant. He knew no stranger and would offer everything he had to whomever needed it. His heart was pure, and his soul was rich. He was loved by many, hated by none, envied by some, but will be missed by All! His bigger than life personality has left a lasting impression on the lives he has touched here on Earth. Dave showed us how to lead with love and the best way we can honor his memory would be to love one another care for your brother, just like Dave!
David is preceded in death by Estelle D Bouie and David A. Young Sr. David is survived by sister(s) Kenya Bouie (Jonesboro GA) Jackie Ward (Antioch TN) Gia Bouie (Morrow GA) brother James Bouie III (Smyrna GA) father James Bouie Jr (Union City GA) Nieces Kasyana Bouie and Sylence Jones and many aunts, uncles, cousins. He will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
