David W. Helm's Obituary
David W. Helm, of Tacoma, died Thursday, November 3, 2005 at his home in the Weatherly Inn. He was 60 years old. David lived his life in the Tacoma area, graduating from Clover Park High School. He also attended Pacific Lutheran University for two years. He spent two summers working at the Sunrise Inn on Mt. Rainier and enjoyed a year of travel throughout the United States with his mother and father and another year of European travel. David worked for the Tacoma Fire Department in the planning department until his retirement.David was the son of the late John and Lucy Helm and is survived by his brother John and sister-in-law Pat of Chalfont, PA, 4 nieces and nephews and 7 grand-nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.David was a 10 year resident of the Weatherly Inn in Tacoma. He enjoyed the fellowship of the members of The Little Church on the Prairie and the residents of the Weatherly Inn. His most recent love was his weekly bowling sessions at the Weatherly.A celebration of DavidÂ's life will be held at the Weatherly Inn, 6016 N. Highland Parkway, Tacoma, WA, on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 2:00 pm.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made, in DavidÂ's memory to The Little Church on the Prairie, 6310 Motor Ave, Lakewood, WA 98499.
