David "Dave" Michael Prenovost's Obituary
"Dave," David Michael Prenovost, aged 72, passed away on June 19, 2024, in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington. Born in Tacoma, Dave was proud to be a "North Ender" who loved living in the Puget Sound region. Dave was known for his intelligence, perfectionism, and artistic talents. He attended Point Defiance Elementary, Truman Junior High, and graduated from Wilson High School. Dave's professional life was marked by various roles, but his most proud achievement was founding Rule Signs, a commercial sign company that showcased his artistic expertise. Dave's interests were not limited to just painting. He liked sports, nature, wildlife, boating, gardening, cooking, music, and various forms of craftsmanship. He is always aiming for perfection in everything, often expressing himself through both his work and play. His artistic abilities are shown through his painting, drawing, and wood carving, among other things. His creativity was not just his profession but a significant part of his life. He is survived by his brother Gary, his daughter Michelle, his grandchildren Christopher, Jeff, and Alaura, and great grandchildren Amarianna and Nomi He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Irene, and his brother Denny. A celebration of Dave's life will be held at the Clover Leaf in Tacoma on July 13th from 2-4 pm. The Mountain View Funeral Home in Tacoma, Washington, is assisting the family with arrangements. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and through the works of art he left behind.
