I had the pleasure of working with Dave on the Tacoma Police Department.
Unlike others, He never took himself seriously. He was able to do his job professionally, but always with the thought of how it impacted those who worked under him. We loved his sense of humor and how he always made time to offer you advice when you needed it most.
You will be missed, David. Thank you for sharing your life here.
One memory that stands out in my mind is when Dave, somewhere in his 70's, jumped off a cliff at Deep Lake during one of our annual trips to Sun Lakes. Although I didn't ask Dave but I feel fairly certain that he jumped off that cliff for his family, not for his own pleasure, always doing for others and making others happy. I am very grateful to have had Dave in my and my children's lives. He was always kind, thoughtful and generous. I will miss his smile. Much love, Carole Ann
