David L. Swanson's Obituary
David was born in Tacoma, WA, and graduated from Lincoln High School. After High School, he enlisted in the Army, fought in Korea, and was honorably discharged from the Army as a Staff Sergeant. He attended the College of Puget Sound (now University of Puget Sound) and graduated with Honors. David then found employment with Boeing, and worked for many years as an industrial engineer at their Renton plant, until he retired in July of 1996. After his retirement, he spent many happy hours in the sun, fixing up his lakefront property.David is survived by his sister, Charlotte Ryan; his nieces, Diane Geib and Charlene (David) Duncan; nephew Mark (Carina) Ryan; and many great-nieces and nephews.David was preceded in death by his parents, David and Lavina Swanson.Viewing will be held from 3:00 Â- 9:00 PM, Sunday, Nov 13, 2005, at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, Nov 14, 2005, at Epworth LeSourd United Methodist Church, 710 S Anderson St, Tacoma.
