David Holmes' Obituary
David Holmes, a successful business man and consultant, passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2022 at the age of 74 with his beloved wife and brother by his side.
David is survived by his wife, Judy Holmes; his sons Troy Holmes of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Marcus Holmes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Chasen Holmes of Miami, Florida; grandchildren Hunter, Hayley, Kirsten, Isabella, Spencer and Delaney; brothers, Donald P. Holmes of Westport, Washington, Daniel W. Holmes of Leavenworth, Washington, MaryBeth Paschal of Apple Valley, California and Sharon L. Borzage of North Ridge, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherlock and Mary Ellen Holmes and daughter in law Jeannette Holmes.
Dave was born in Olympia, Washington on August 6, 1948 to Sherlock and Mary Ellen Holmes. On August 17, 1968 he married Judy Hughes, executive Secretary of the Republican State Central Committee. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1971 with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and started a long career in real estate and consulting in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dave and Judy had three sons; Troy, Marc and Chase, who were the most important part of their lives.
Dave was a devoted husband, father and avid golfer. He enjoyed his morning walks, card games and traveled all over the world with his wife. He was the ultimate problem solver for friends and family. He was a spiritual man, a devout Catholic and was involved in many church activities. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00am on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Saint Charles Borromeo Parish Church in Tacoma, WA. Flowers and condolences may be offered at 7112 S 12th Street Tacoma, WA 98335.
