David Lee Hanson's Obituary
David "Papa" Lee Hanson, 65, passed away on January 5, 2014 at his home in Tacoma, WA. He was born on October 10, 1948 in Devils Lake, ND to Jens C. and Lenora E. (Olson) Hanson.
David served in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marines and managed the Officers Club before being discharged. His family will remember that he was a hell of a bartender, practical jokester, comedian and ball player.
He is survived by his Kids Kerrie Hanson, Todd Hanson, Elizabeth Woods, Melanie Hetzner and Heather Jones; grandkids Miriya Mast, Madysen Jones, Morghan Hetzner, Evan Hetzner, Aiden Hetzner, Gavin Hetzner, Skilar Hanson, Chloe Taylor, Camryn Taylor and Jacob Hanson; brothers and sisters Janice (Earl) Cooper, Barbara (Luke) Bell, Helen (Chuck) Nelson, Gary (Nora) Hanson, Carolyn (Dean) Brown and Larry Hanson.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, January 15 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
