David Franklin Murry's Obituary
Dave (Bud) Murry of Tacoma, Washington, born April 22, 1918, passed away July 16, 2008 in Puyallup, Washington at Good Samaritan Hospital. Dave became a Teamster in 1940. He was a moving and storage truck driver up until he retired in December 1980 from Pacific Moving and Storage Co. of Tacoma. He drove throughout the continental U.S. and Canada. After retirement, he worked part time until 1994. The Teamster's property on Hartstene Island was one of his favorite projects to help develop into a recreational park. He and his family did a lot of camping there, as oysters and clams were some of his favorite foods. He also liked hunting, but venison was in short supply at the Murry home. Dave is survived by his wife Lavon (Bonnie) of 53 years, his brothers Roy Kremer, Richard (Mary Ann) Roberts, Fred (Susan) Roberts, Jerry (Liz) Roberts. He has seven sons, Dick (June), Jim, Frank (Lani), Mike (Connie), Dan (Amy), Steve (Nancy), John (Anne), three daughters, Sharon Christodoulou, Kathy Lease, Patty (Dennis) Atkinson, 2 step-children, Kathy (Don) Vladeff, Ken Murry, 46 grandchildren, numerous great- and great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Pearl Roberts, sister June Wilder, brother Jack Roberts, sons-in-law Chris Christodoulou and Ken Lease, and grandson Mathew Murry. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Good Samaritan Home Health and Hospice, PO Box 1247, Puyallup, WA 98371. Memorial services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood WA, Monday, July 21, 2008, at 12:00. Scheduled viewing from 10:30am to 11:30am. Reception to follow.
