David L. Buck's Obituary
David Lisle Buck passed away peacefully on January 2nd, 2018 with family by his side. He was survived by his wife Dorothy and two children David and Deborah. David was born on November 12th, 1931 in Tacoma WA. The son to Lisle and Veta Buck. At the age of 16 he choose to join the Airforce during the Korean war at which he spent his time overseas as a fire fighter. He chose to Pursue this life style when he returned and was given the oppurtunity to serve again as a firefighter for the VA Hospital in lakewood WA. where he was given Quarters to live on campus. Later he was awarded a position with the Lakewood fire department and met our mother Dorothy J Turpin only to be later married. He then followed his love and passion to drive forward becoming a Luetinant, Captain, Assistant Chief and Chief of operations. Turning down the position of Chief only to stay closer to the crews. He was a great husband and father who loved to work with his hands and always spend time going places with his family. He liked to hunt and fish in his early days and enjoyed riding motorcycles so much as to join a family club called the Tacoma Trail Cruisers. After retirement he became very inthused with the family history even traveling the western states collecting information and pictures. he will be dearly missed.
