Mom just sent the article from the Tacoma paper about Dave. I opened up her envelope and read it, and felt very sad. You guys gave me my first job. You were good role moldels for me. Donna and family...Dave inspired all of us on a number of different levels. For Julie and I, he made the difference in a marriage. Julie was raised Catholic and I, of course, had a very protestant background. Many would advise that this was not a prescription for success. However, Dave taught classes during my high school years which compared and contrasted various religions and their associated beliefs. This class provided a foundation to build upon and promote discussion between Julie and I. In the end, common ground existed because Dave promoted dialogue and was true to our God. Today, Julie and I have been married for 20+ years w/three fantastic children. Dave played a major role. My family and I are sorry for the lost of David.Since I work for your family I knew from the beginning that i was part of a great family.Dave,was like afather to me and when i was having all my surgery i felt loved by the wholre Gibson family.I'm sad that such a great man departed us to soon. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Knowing he was such a man of faith, there's no doubt he's in a better place watching over everyone. I believe that some of the important lessons he taught those he knew, whether by example, or with words, will continue to follow us all for many years to come. He was always very kind to me and I learned so much working for your family. My job with Gibson's holds memories of my most favorite times. My thoughts and prayers are with you all right now.
