David Hugh Askren's Obituary
David Hugh Askren, 69, of Tacoma Washington died on March 8th, 2018 at Franciscan Hospice House of pneumonia.
David was born in Tacoma, Washington to Hugh and Hazel Askren on December 16th 1948. He went to high school at Woodrow Wilson and graduated in 1967. He went on to attend University of Puget Sound. Growing up David was a natural athlete who loved baseball, snow skiing and any good competitive sport with his friends and sisters. School activities were middle school President, High School Treasurer for tenth and eleventh grades, and Senior Body Council member in his senior year. We will all remember David as a man full of love and protection for his family and friends. He had a huge heart, kind soul, and would give you the shirt off his back.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Hazel Askren and sister Jone Sigovich. He is survived by sister Marybeth Heerwald, sister Deborah Sue Lomheim and brother in law Scott Lomheim, 3 nephews and 2 nieces and 7 great nephews and nieces.
Funeral Services will be a Graveside Memorial at Mountain View Memorial Park on March 22nd at 11:30 am. Location is 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood.
