Daryl was a great guy and a wonderful step dad who raised 4 step kids along with his wife then, Janice . He has 7 grandkids from those kids and 2 great granddaughters who loved him also. It’s sad That wasn’t talked about at funeral.

so enjoyed getting to know daryl and seeing him at the races, banquets, and lunches "with the guys" in gig harbor. i treasure the gary burghoff "cougar" and "lynx" paintings daryl so generously donated to our golden wheels auction. i will remember his warm, lovely smile, his generosity, red hair, and for giving me the chance to sit in his "dream car," the ranger roadster.
a true gentleman, he will be so missed by all of us in golden wheels who were lucky enough to get to know him and have him as a friend.
thank you for letting hal test drive all your cars, even the"wolfe special" with the special invisible flames !!!

Daryl was a trusted friend and partner in the desire of a lifetime which was to build a ranger roadster racecar. He and I and Jerry Day embarked on a mission to build the ultimate racecar. If it had not been for Daryl this dream would not have come true. Thank you Daryl for your friendship and giving me the chance to get on the racetrack again. I enjoyed our friendship most of all. I will miss you greatly. Your friend Dave....
