Darlyne Ann Wiggins' Obituary
Darlyne passed away peacefully with her husband and daughters by her side.
Darlyne is preceded in death by her mother Josephine Bryce, granddaughter Danielle Aussem, son in law Jim Binford, brothers Frank Bryce & Tom Bryce, and nephew Mike Mayhew.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, David and daughters Denise Binford, Dina Whitehead, Darla (Chuck) Markus and sister Maryon Mayhew. Grandchildren Jacob Binford, HaleighWhitehead, Hannah Whitehead, Brett Markus & great grandchildren Alani, AJ & Ariya Ahching.
Our mom loved unconditionally, fiercely and would defend us until the end of time.
She would help friends & loved ones in a heartbeat and was fearless. Mom would be at the bedside of a family member or friend in the hospital until the end, that’s the type of woman she was. She was very interested in doing some sort of Hospice care, she loved doing it and was very good at it.
Mom was a great daughter, cousin, aunt, friend, but especially a wife, mother & Grandma.
She absolutely LOVED being a Grandma, all the grandkids adored her and she had a special & unique relationship with each of them. So much so, that Haleigh & Danielle followed in her footsteps to be hair stylists. Mom would never brag, but that meant the world to her. She loved that each grandchild found their own niche.
Mom always wanted us to have more than she did, our parents worked very hard to make sure we had the things that we needed and much more. As we became older with children of our own, our mom became our friend.
I remember her saying one time, you’ll have a lot of friends in your lifetime but only one mother, and she was ALWAYS our mother first.
Dad was the love of her life since she was 14 years old (Elvis was a close 2nd)! They grew up together, had a lot of fun together, started a family, showed us how important family is, taught us everything we needed to navigate the world. We would still ask for help with something now & then, and our dad will forever help his girls, because that’s our dad!
I don’t know how the four of us will manage without mom (Dar) but we have each other to lean on, cry with and get through it together. Because that’s what mom would’ve done!
