Darlyne Fay Crawford's Obituary
Darlyne Fay (Christofferson) Crawford, 89, passed away at home Wednesday, April 15, 2020 and went home to meet her husband Kenneth, parents Art and Lela Christofferson, sister Evelyn Cooper, daughter-in-law Sharon Crawford, and granddaughter Samantha Boyer, who all precede her in death.
Darlyne was born in Tacoma July 23, 1930 and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. Darlyne and Kenneth married April 5, 1950, and built their home in Midland.
After raising her five children, Darlyne worked at nursing homes, helping those in need of special care. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau Philanthropic Sorority, which provided many friendships and the opportunity to support their causes. She also was a member of the Red Hat Sisters of Puyallup.
Her surviving family includes her five children Judy (Bob) Matsumoto, Joyce Hunt, Jerry Crawford, Janet (Gordon) McCallum, Joanne (Chuck) Hovey, cousin Charlotte Grange, niece Bev Edwards, nephew Larry (Dorene) Cooper, grandchildren, Steven Matsumoto, Eric (Yonga) Matsumoto, Thomas (Lindsey) Hunt, Emily (Chris) Laise, Kelli Crawford, Malia (Ben) LeVan, Payden and Kamryn Hovey, great grandchildren Ariana, Ava & Alyssa Matsumoto, Taylor Riley-Hunt, Ethan, Lily, & Titus Hunt, Grace Laise.
She will be greatly missed but we are all blessed to have had her as a mom, grandmother, great grand mother and aunt.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
