- Darlene Lindsay, 66, of Tacoma, Washington, passed away on October 19, 2023. She was born on April 13, 1957, in Seattle, Washington. Darlene was a vibrant and adventurous person, always seeking thrills and finding the joy in life. She had a strong-willed nature and a determination to accomplish her goals. Darlene loved being around people and was often the center of attention. In her career, Darlene worked for the census bureau and the Department of Labor for 22 years, making significant contributions to her field. Darlene is survived by her sisters, Joyce Miller and Connie Louise (Lindsay) Wilson, sons, Jamaine Lindsay, Daniel Simuel, Christopher Lindsay, and Demetri Murphy. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Lindsay, mother, Thelma Lindsay, brothers William ( Bill ) Lindsay and Earnest Lindsay, sisters, Lois Moore, Judith ( Jean ) Lindsay, and son, Jeremy Lindsay. Darlene found solace and community at Champion Centre, where she enjoyed Worshipping and Fellowship. In her free time, Darlene enjoyed traveling, dancing, participating in water aerobics, cooking, and watching movies. These hobbies brought her much joy and fulfillment.
Services for Darlene will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, Washington. The funeral home will be assisting with the arrangements. Darlene Lindsay will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her infectious spirit and zest for life will forever be remembered. May she rest in peace.
