Darcy D. Clark's Obituary
Darcy, loving husband, dad and grandpa was born, Mar. 31, 1920 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Edward and Della Clark and passed into our Heavenly FatherÂ's arms on Feb. 24, 2005 joining his mom, dad, brothers Bert, Ed, JC, Ernest, Lawrence, Ingwer and sister Delphine.He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Clarice, children; Verla Jean (Rory) Chaloner,Valerie (Jerry) Bisyak, Vicki (Bob) Karney, Mark (Barbara) Clark, Bret (Vicky) Clark and Chris Clark; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, brother LeRoy (Ferne) Clark, sister Ethelyn (Reuben) Roberts and numerous other relatives.Dad was in the United States Army 44th Infantry and served during World War II in the Gulf of Luzon, Philippines. He moved to Tacoma, WA in 1949 and began a career in construction, owning Darcy & Sons Remodeling. He loved his work and didnÂ't retire until well into his 70Â's. His favorite pastimes were salmon fishing, hunting and visiting relatives.Dad was a giving, caring man who loved his family very much. Over the past several years as he faced numerous medical challenges, he taught us courage, faith, strength and perseverance. While we will miss him every day, he will remain forever alive in our hearts. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, Mar. 1st, at Lutheran Church of Christ the King, Tacoma.
