Daniel L. Larson's Obituary
Daniel Lawrence Larson, age 66, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 28th, 2023. Dan was born on November 16, 1956 in Tacoma, WA. He graduated from Foss High School in 1975. He married his high school sweetheart Rosa on September 4th, 1976 and had three children.
Daniel was a loving husband, father and papa. He loved his siblings, nieces, nephews and was a great friend and support to many. He touched the lives of almost everyone he came in contact with. His hugs were always the biggest and his whisker rubs will not be forgotten.
Daniel worked hard all his life starting with setting pins in a bowling alley as a kid and moving on to meat cutter, lumber yard foreman and solid waste truck driver (Teamster). Outside of employment, his interests were wide and far-reaching. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, gymnast, wrestler, mechanic, soccer coach, gardener, artist in many mediums (oil, pastels, pen… anything), wasp nest wrangler, ballet videographer, photobomber, car washer, car collector (hot wheels and full size!), world traveler, foot rub master, stroller pusher, sports fan, bird watcher and most important, Rosa’s dishwasher. This list can go on and on. He loved living life to the fullest and having his family and friends with him while he lived it.
He is proceeded in death by his mother Mary, sister Marilyn, in-laws Fransico and Eulogia. Daniel is survived by his loving wife Rosa and their children Daniel, Jessica and Maria as well as their spouses Amanda, Alan and Matt; grandbabies Elise, Raedyn, Tyler and Ronan; Daniel’s siblings Darold, Martha, Shane, Pattie, Pam and their partners Marilyn and Rob; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has arranged a viewing at Mountain View, August 12th, 10am-4pm prior to cremation on a later date. A Celebration of his Life will be on Saturday, September 9th from 1-4pm at Amvets Post 1, 5717 S. Tyler St., Tacoma, Wa.
