Daniel J. Rupe's Obituary
Daniel Joseph Rupe
Danny was born in Tacoma, WA on 1-14-85, and passed away on December 10, 2008. He passed away in his sleep as a result of a leakage in his aorta blood vessel. Dan attended Mont Downing Elementary and Truman Middle School. He graduated from Wilson High School in 2003 and from Western Washington University in March 2008 earning a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise and Sports Science Degree. Danny worked for Point Defiance Village during high school and Big 5 Sports during college. After graduating from WWU, Dan went to work for Bellevue Health Care as a medical equipment representative. He really enjoyed his work, and loved interacting with patients and co-workers. Danny earned 3 varsity letters playing baseball at WHS and was a team captain during his senior year. He enjoyed fishing, and going to the gym for his daily workouts. But most of all, Dan loved spending time with his family and close friends. River fishing for salmon was a hobby of Danny's that he always looked forward to. Watching a baseball game and enjoying a refreshment with his family, was his favorite. Danny made a friend with every person he came in contact with. If you knew this young man, it was a blessing, if you did not know him, you missed out. Daniel is survived by his parents Joan and Brian Rupe, and his older brother Douglas Rupe. Additionally, he is survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Danny was taken from our family far too soon, and we miss him deeply. Dan's memorial is on Saturday, 12-20-08 at Mountain View Memorial Park located at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Tacoma, at the Aspen Chapel at 11:00 am. Danny was our son; Doug's little brother, and your friend. Good bye to you Danny for now, we love you. Dougie, momma, and dad.
