5/15/1939 - 6/20/2012
Born in Tacoma, son of Viola and Walter Leach. Attended Lincoln, graduated from Fife in 1957. Hired by the Post Office in 1957, which was interrupted by a 2-year Navy deployment. Retired from the USPS in 1999 after 42 years of service. Played H.S. football and baseball and coached for years. Dan adored his family most; he enjoyed life and singing in the church choir. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carey, who cared for him to the end, their 3 children, Lisa, Gregg and Garry, and their spouses, 7 grandkids and their spouses, and countless friends, all of whom adored Dan. He fought cancer courageously for 14 years and was called home by his Lord on 6/20/2012. A memorial service will be held 6/30/2012 at 2PM at 1st Christian Church (6th and Orchard). All remembrances to the charity of your choice . Thanks to all for your prayers and support. Toodles for now Dad. We miss you tremendously and can't wait to see you again.
