Daniel Milton Fall's Obituary
Daniel M. (Dan) Fall, 96, of Lakewood, WA, peacefully passed away on January 14, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Dad was born on September 25, 1927 in Sandpoint, ID to John and Myrtle Fall. He attended Oakland Technical High School before enlisting in the Navy. He was assigned to the USS Butte APA68 tied up at Wilmington, CA on or about January 12, 1946, the Butte was one of the test ships for operation crossroads atomic bomb test. After six years in the Navy Dad went on to be a printer with Standard Register Co in Oakland, CA, and later moved his family to Tacoma, WA to work for Pioneer Business Forms, where he retired in 1990. Dad enjoyed traveling with Mom and friends, reading westerns and history books, gardening, puzzles and working with his many wood working saws. Dad is proceeded in death by his parents, wife Dolores Garcia Fall, his sister Florence Rauer, brothers, Howard, Millard and Jack Fall. He is survived by his brothers, Clyde and Frank Fall. Daughter Diana Sullivan (Charles), Granddaughters Miranda Cromoga(Stephan), Justine Sullivan(fiancé Kyle Carlson) and Great-granddaughter Kennedy Cromoga and many nieces and nephews. At Dad’s request there will be no service. We will have a celebration of Life in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Tunnel of tower, or St. Frances Cabrini School.
