Daniel P. Eugenio's Obituary
Daniel (Danny) Pedro Eugenio, 80, of Spanaway, WA passed away March 2, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Kukaiau, HI on December 10, 1942, to Pedro Mangrobang Eugenio and Roselia Kapela, their third child and eldest son. Danny grew up on the Big Island and graduated from Honokaa High School in 1960. Shortly after, he joined the US Air Force. He served for 20 years and after retiring from the military worked at Boeing as a machinist for another 20 years.
While in the Air Force, Danny served in many different locations across the globe and met Purificacion (Puring) Espiritu Mateo in 1963. The two married on December 4, 1965, and went on to have four sons: Derrick, Drake, Dowell, and Dillon.
During his retirement, Danny and Puring spent their time taking care of each other through sickness and health, tending their rose garden, and, most important, taking joy from watching their grandchildren grow. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2015.
Danny was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Damian, and Federico; his sisters, Katherine, Solidad, and Leonora. He is survived by his wife Puring; son Derrick; son Drake and wife Rekha Nhoung and their children, Alexzander, Benjamin, and Emma; son Dowell; son Dillon and wife Anne McDonald and their children, Elijah, Isaac, Eve, and Luke; his brothers, Paul and Darren, and his sisters, Nellie Eugenio Lam, and Veronica Eugenio Coakley.
