Damon Geyer's Obituary
Damon Alexander Geyer passed away on May 3, 2026, leaving behind a life defined not by recognition or attention, but by quiet kindness, hard work, and unwavering love for those around him.
Damon’s story began uniquely and intentionally. At just 7 weeks and 5 days old, he was adopted in Orange, California, by his proud parents, Gene and Lynn Geyer. As his family lovingly said, he wasn’t “expected” — he was “selected.”
At the tender age of four, he became a big brother to Dorothy Geyer, a role he carried with love throughout his life.
Damon became a young father with the birth of his son, Joshua Wine — one of the greatest joys of his life. Many years later, he became a grandfather to Adam Wine and proudly embraced the title that would become one of his favorites: “Grampy.”
Damon spent many years working various jobs from mechanic to corporate manager, but eventually found greater fulfillment working with his hands as a woodworker at Action Door in Tacoma, Washington. He took pride in honest work, craftsmanship, and creating things built to last — much like the relationships he formed throughout his life.
Those who knew Damon knew they could count on him. He was the kind of person who showed up when you needed help, never asking for praise or recognition in return. He gave from the heart — not for attention or acknowledgment, but simply because he cared. His quiet strength, generosity, humor, and dependable nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Damon was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Lynn Geyer.
He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Geyer; his son, Joshua Wine; and his beloved grandson, Adam Wine.
Though his time here feels far too short, the love, lessons, and memories Damon leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
