Dale Curtis Schueller's Obituary
Dale Curtis Schueller, age 80, was born in Mt. Vernon, Washington on February 16th, 1944 to Myrtle Marie (Bauerly) Schueller and Donald Joseph Schueller. Immediately following Sealth High, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy July of 1962, serving four years as an Aviation Technician, and reserves for an additional two. He retired from Boeing after 33 years in 1999 and became a business owner with his wife Nancy of Plato’s Closet and Clothes Mentor in West Olympia. Dale served as Past Grand Worthy President of Renton Eagles #1722, where he proudly supported several related charities.
Dale deeply loved his brothers and sisters, was a loving husband, father, mentor to many, and friend to all. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Sadly, he suffered a severe brain hemorrhage on April 9th. Thankfully family and friends were able to gather in the immediate hours to follow. Dale died peacefully in the early morning hours of April 11th, 2024 in the care of Tacoma General Hospital with family at his side.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife Nancy of 34 years, brothers Richard Schueller, Thomas Schueller, Larry Schueller, and sisters Donna Paul and Linda Fiscus. He is survived by his brothers Nick Schueller (Helen); LeRoy Schueller; James Kenny (Diana); sisters Beverly Wells and Betty Fiscus; sister-in-law Alice Schueller; daughter Deborah Louis Wallace (Cindy and grandchild, Jacob); son Duane Schueller (Nicole and grandchildren, Avery and Colby); stepson Raymond Barker (Lisa and grandchildren, Aden, Polk, and Georgia); stepson Richard Barker (Adrienne and grandchildren, Marin and Declan). Additional services beyond private family gatherings are not planned at this time. Remembrances may be made in Dale’s name to Eagle Valley Campground, Cle Elum, WA (www.eaglevalleycamp.com) where he and Nancy enjoyed many summers volunteering and creating special memories with friends and loved ones. Bless all who knew him.
